This policy is written to clearly explain our use of sensitive permissions such as camera, microphone, accessibility and screen capture permissions. These permissions are requested only when they are needed for the app’s visible translation features.
2. Required Permissions and Data Usage
Lingofy AI Translator may request the permissions below to provide its core features. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use permissions to monitor your device outside the translation features you choose to use.
Microphone Permission
The app may request microphone access for voice conversation, talking translator, speech-to-text translation, keyboard voice input and AI voice-related features. Audio is used only when you actively start a voice feature. We do not intentionally record, store or share your voice clips as personal audio files.
Camera Permission
The app may request camera access for camera translation and OCR features. The camera is used to detect text from signs, documents, labels or other visible content that you choose to scan. Camera content is used for recognition and translation only. We do not use the camera in the background.
Accessibility Service and Screen Translation
The app may request accessibility and/or screen capture permission to provide screen translation across apps. This feature is used to detect visible text on your screen when you start or enable screen translation. The app does not use this permission to read passwords, payment details or private secure fields. The app does not use accessibility access to control your device without your action.
Custom Keyboard Input
When you use the Keyboard Translator, the text you type, paste or dictate is processed only to provide translation, AI reply, writing help or keyboard-related features selected by you. EzyApps does not use the keyboard to log, sell or track your keystrokes for unrelated purposes.
Text, Image, Document, Chat and Video Translation
Text or content that you choose to translate may be processed locally on your device or sent securely to translation, OCR, speech recognition or AI service providers to return the requested result. Upcoming modules such as document translator, chat translator, AI translator modules and video translator will follow the same purpose-limited approach: content is processed only to provide the feature you request.
3. Third-Party Services and Advertising
Lingofy AI Translator may use trusted third-party services for translation, OCR, speech recognition, AI responses, analytics, crash diagnostics and advertising.
- Translation and AI services: Text, transcribed speech, OCR text or selected content may be sent to translation or AI service providers only to generate the requested translation or response.
- Google AdMob: The app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app interaction data and other information in accordance with Google’s advertising policies. Users can control personalized ad settings through device or Google settings where available.
4. Data Security and Retention
We apply data minimization and purpose limitation. Translation content is used to provide the selected feature and is not intended to be stored by EzyApps as personal translation history. Some processing may happen through third-party APIs, and those providers may process data according to their own policies and technical requirements.
5. Children’s Privacy
Lingofy AI Translator is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
6. User Choices
You can disable permissions such as camera, microphone, accessibility, notifications or keyboard access from your device settings. Some app features may not work if the required permission is disabled.
